"Let's Spend the Night Together" at Medici's with the BlueStones -- Honolulu's latest Rolling Stones tribute band. Songs such as "Brown Sugar," "I Can't Get No Sastisfaction," "Honky Tonk Woman," and "Jumpin' Jack Flash," are just a few of the numbers to be performed.

Led by well-known bluesman Rick Smith (leader of the gritty blues band, Trailer Park Romeos, one of Medici's most popular bands), the Bluestones features: Rick Smith - guitars and vocals, Rich Ray - bass, Mike Scherr - drums and vocals, Chip Hunt - guitars, and Marcos Skye - lead vocals.

Vibrant, eclectic and truly original, Hiroshima creates a musical world all its own. In the four decades since they first convened, the Los Angeles-based ensemble of Dan Kuramoto (keyboards/woodwinds/composer), virtuoso June Kuramoto (koto/composer), Kimo Cornwell originally from Hawaii (piano/keyboards/composer), Danny Yamamoto (taiko/percussion), Dean Cortez (bass) and their newest member, Land Richards (drums) have blended jazz, pop and rock with traditional Japanese folk music. With 18 records to their credit and over 4 million sold worldwide, this musical group is the most popular Asian American Jazz Group in the world. They were recently honored with the "Legend in Music" award from the Smithsonian Asian-Pacific American Association and they have received numerous lifetime achievement awards for their contribution to music history.
Hiroshima kicks off their 40th Anniversary tour in Honolulu on October 12. The evening will include some surprise guest artists presented by Michael Paulo.
